All Things

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
Four times in the last five years, the Lord has given me this word: “All things concerning you are in My hands.” I needed to hear it more than once until I finally got it! And it is only recently that I have begun to understand its full import. This encouragement and blessing is not only for me, it’s for you, too. It is a freshly spoken Word of God (rhema) and is for all of us.
In times of stress, confusion, or conflict, I turn the blessing around and say out loud:
“All things concerning me, Lord, are in Your hands!”
In that moment, the word instantly gives me peace. I am settled, calm, and at rest. What am I worried about? Could the issues of my life be in better hands?
If God is watching, handling, directing, and redirecting everything coming my way, I have no worries whatsoever. This is God, we’re talking about, the Creator of the universe, the One who has all power, all authority, all grace, in His mighty hands. Perhaps most importantly, the One whose very nature is Goodness.50 All of His thoughts toward me are good and for my very best.
Let’s be honest with ourselves. When we say “concerns, anxieties, and worries,” we are really describing fear. But God has not given us the spirit of fear, according to 1 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” If fear is not from the Lord, we know from whom it is, and I want nothing from the enemy.
Our Father is the answer for every distress, disease, disaster, and calamity that is headed our way. And more than all, we live in the truth that He loves us and cares for us! With this assurance, there is no opportunity for the spirit of fear to gain even a foothold in our lives.
“All things” is a breathtaking promise, and it comes from the only One who can honor it, the Lord God, Himself. What a Promise! What a Father! What a relief! May this word bless you and keep you! I hope it brings you great joy, peace, and rest in Him today and every day.
Prayer
In Your Presence, Lord, in one stroke, You have removed every doubt, fear, and anxious thought. You are my trust and my confidence. “All things concerning me, Lord, are in Your hands.” What peace! What comfort! I can trust the King of Kings who loves me and cares for me and is watching over me and my family. And I do trust in You, the One who is Faithful and True. Being “faithful and true” isn’t just something you do; it’s who You are.
